MAC Clinical Research manages clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry and an exciting range of career opportunities exists in our expanding clinical development organisation. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Study Coordinator to join our team at our MHRA accredited Early Phase Unit in Manchester.

This job would be suitable for anyone with a scientific, psychology or nursing background.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and ensure the smooth running of clinical studies at the site, interfacing with project managers, clinical staff, external clients and monitors to meet all expectations to run a study compliant with ICH GCP.

  • Set-up and maintain all study related documentation including site files.

  • Participate in the effective running of research studies on a day-to-day basis maintaining the safety and well-being of study participants and utilising skill knowledge and judgement to provide a high standard of care whilst maintaining dignity and respect at all time.

  • Accountability for planning, organising and prioritising their daily workload working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Key Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in scientific field/psychology/nursing

  • Experience within the field of clinical trials (desirable, however full training will be provided)


  • Competitive salary in keeping with pharmaceutical industry standards and will reflect experience

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing in increments to 30 days after 6 years long service)

  • Regular hours (including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day off)
