An exciting range of career opportunities exists in our expanding clinical development organisation. MAC Clinical Research provides manages clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry and we are seeking to appoint a Production Assistant to join our fast-growing pharmacy team in our licensed GMP aseptic suite in Leeds.

 

The focus of this job is to assist in the production of sterile, aseptic and non-sterile Investigational Medicinal Products, comparators or non-Investigational Medicinal Products and to assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the Production Unit

 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that study production documentation is completed to ensure complete accountability of study material and investigate discrepancies.

  • Contribute to service review and performance monitoring.

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the production unit

  • Assisting with production procedures; un-blinded and blinded dispensing/assembly or manufacture of medication/IMP/nIMP and supply/resupply.

  • To complete broth validations and end of session media fills.

  • To perform all aspects of validations, performance qualifications and study dry runs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified and Registered Pharmacy Technician (desirable NOT essential)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral (essential)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential)

  • Experience of Small Scale or Bulk or Commercial Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (desirable)

  • Knowledge of GMP (desirable)

  • Willingness to travel (desirable)

  • Previous attendance of Aseptic Preparation courses (desirable)

  • Experience of both Sterile and non-Sterile Manufacturing (desirable)

  • Experience IMP manufacturing (desirable)

  • Trained in aseptic process techniques (desirable)

Training will be comprehensive and provided to successful candidates.
