CLINICAL VENDOR MANAGER

We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Vendor Manager to join our team and make a positive impact in a growing and progressive CRO. You will be joining a company that put the needs and wellbeing of their people first, who are inclusive and who deliver exceptional service – together.


This role is full time and home based within the North of England, with regular travel to MAC sites and vendors as required.

FOCUS OF THE JOB:

Identification and management of clinical vendors to support clinical trials at MAC sites in the UK.


KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • BSc in Science/Life sciences degree

  • Experience of coordination of clinical trials, for example within a Site Management Organisation or NHS clinical trials site (or equivalent).

  • Vendor management/Outsourcing experience preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines

  • Effective negotiation skills

  • Strong client facing skills

  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team

  • Excellent time management, organisation, problem-solving and communication skills

  • Proficient in using Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams and Outlook

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-ordination / Management of clinical vendors acting as the interface between Proposals, Feasibility, Project Management, Operations, Quality Assurance and Legal.

  • Liaising with internal departments as needed for operational input into the vendor requirements

  • Identify new vendors and consultants to support clinical trials activities for MAC sites

  • Identify new vendors and provide vendor management support for non-MAC sites and global studies as needed

  • Participate in and present vendor management processes in client bid defence and project meetings for studies at MAC clinical sites

  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the 3rd party vendors for MAC sites

  • Serve as a liaison between the operational study teams, Client, and 3rd party vendor(s).

  • Assist the Project Management and operational teams in the vendor start-up activities

  • Manage a number of vendors with various specialties on complex studies independently.

  • Provide oversight of tracking and filing of vendor management and 3rd party vendor documentation in Trial Master File

  • Complete other tasks, as assigned by management

  • Provide absence cover within vendor management team

  • Participate and independently support vendor management processes in client audits of assigned projects.

  • Work closely with MAC Contracts group to ensure all vendor related contract documentation is approved and processed on-time.

  • Perform proactive assessments of vendor service risk and recommend mitigating actions.

  • To work to the requirements of SI 2004 no 1031 and amendments thereof, which includes Good Clinical Practice

  • To work according to MAC SOPs, guidelines and policies

  • To work according to current data protection standards and practice good information management. Maintenance of strict confidentiality of patient and business-related data.

  • To maintain a high level of initiative and personal responsibility, liaising appropriately with team members and managers to ensure your job role is efficiently carried out

  • To support the aims of MAC and to represent MAC appropriately in a professional way to all our customers
