LEGAL ANALYST AND CONTRACTS MANAGER

MAC Clinical Research manages clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry and we are seeking to appoint an experienced Legal Analyst and Contracts Manager to join our legal team and make a positive impact in a world-leading Contract Research Organisation.
We are happy to be flexible with regards to location in the UK, so any of our clinical site locations in the North West may be considered with the option for home working for the right candidate. This role would suit candidate with background or keen interest in the legal sector.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential.
Assist in development, analysis, coordination and negotiation of all types of commercial agreements such as Master Service Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Consultancy Agreements and Service Agreements.
Review and draft supply contracts and terms and conditions.
Liaise with internal departments as needed for operational input on commercial agreements.
Provide legal advice internally including in respect of HR and employment matters.
Provide contracts and legal support to internal departments as needed.
Finalise contracts, arranging signature and filing.
Assist with drafting, reviewing and updating contract templates as needed.
Assist with management of external advisors as appropriate.
Update and maintenance of filings at Companies House and Company Statutory Books.
Provide legal support (including administrative) to the department in respect of general le-gal, commercial and operational matters.
Carry out legal research/review of legal research.
Degree in Business or Law or equivalent experience
Previous experience in CRO or pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous.
Experience across several areas of law.
Knowledge of GDPR and its application.
Knowledge of ICH and GCP.
At least 2-3 years’ experience of reviewing commercial contracts/in-house legal experience.
Company secretarial and/or basic corporate experience desirable.
Research skills in order to obtain and review information and confirm a point of law/provide legal advice.
Advanced proficiency in working with Microsoft Word.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
