RESEARCH COORDINATOR - NHS TEST AND TRACE

We are seeking to appoint several Research Coordinators to join our team and make a positive impact in delivering NHS Test and Trace device comparator research. You will be joining a company that puts the needs and wellbeing of their people first, who are inclusive and who deliver exceptional service – together.


This role is full/part time and is available in test centres across England, with travel to other sites country-wide a requirement, including overnight stays.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform primary coordinator role on specific assigned research studies.

  • To ensure that participant recruitment targets are met.

  • Carry out all clinical tasks efficiently and effectively and as per protocol.

  • Display a sound and thorough knowledge of the protocol.

  • To be aware of data quality issues and work proactively to ensure high quality data collection.

  • To be the primary point of contact for specific study related queries.

  • Display sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.

  • Effectively delegate to the site team as appropriate.

  • Set up and maintain all study related documentation.

  • Monitor and appropriately report AE’s / SAE’s.

  • Ensure that all patient visits are completed in accordance with the protocol.

  • Monitor clinical supplies and initiate resupply where required.

  • Consent patients into the study.

  • Liaise with the assigned MAC Project Manager to ensure optimal record keeping and communications.

  • To attend all study related meetings where requested.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc Nursing

  • BSc in a scientific field

  • Equivalent work-related experience

PHYSICAL, WORK ENVIRONMENT, TRAVEL DEMANDS:

  • Potentially long periods standing.

  • Dealing with bodily fluids.

  • Exposure to COVID-19 patients.

  • Requirement to wear full PPE on site at all times.

  • Long periods looking at a computer screen or similar device.

  • Meeting deadlines and working within strict timelines.

  • Requirement to travel between sites with overnight stays (enhancements and expenses provided).

Contracts will be on a 6- month temporary rolling basis and/or option to join a locum bank on zero hours contract basis
