SENIOR PROPOSALS MANAGER

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Proposals Manager to join our dedicated team in Manchester.
The focus of this role is to produce early and late phase strategic proposals and budgets to support the business
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
At least 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within the contract research organisation (CRO) environment
Good working knowledge of the steps required to construct a winning strategic client proposal and robust budget
In-depth knowledge of all the services to support early and late-stage clinical trials
Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines
Excellent organisational and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Defining the optimal process for the development of CRO strategic proposals, request for information (RFI) responses and CRO, Investigator and manufacturing budgets, creating process documentation and templates
Analysing, coordinating and development of strategic proposals, RFI responses and budgets for opportunities where MAC is the CRO, acting as the key interface between Business Development (BD) and operations
Coordinating and chairing the team strategy and proposal development call, and any other strategy calls
Defining the client needs
Constructing the MAC opportunity “win strategy”
Independently drafting the proposal with tailored text and eye-catching graphics
Constructing the CRO and Investigator budgets
Populating the client grid
Co-worker quality control (QC)
Client delivery of all MAC submission materials
Liaising with internal departments as needed for strategic and operational input into proposals and RFI responses
Working with the VP of Global Proposals and other key stakeholders to coordinate the cost negotiations with the client
Developing and coordinating responses to the client on proposal queries and requests for cost revisions
Working with the scientific leads and BD to prepare materials required for bid defence meetings (BDM)
Coordinating and chairing the project hand over meeting for awarded work
Preparing updated proposals to reflect change orders
To maintain professional qualifications required for the role, including continuous personal development
To work to the requirements of SI 2004 no 1031 and amendments thereof, which includes Good Clinical Practice
To work according to MAC SOPs, guidelines and policies
To work according to current data protection standards and practice good information management. Maintenance of strict confidentiality of patient and business-related data.
To maintain a high level of initiative and personal responsibility, liaising appropriately with team members and managers to ensure your job role is efficiently carried out
To support the aims of MAC and to represent MAC appropriately in a professional way with all our customers
