SENIOR VENDOR MANAGER

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Vendor Manager to join our team and make a positive impact in a growing and progressive CRO. You will be joining a company that put the needs and wellbeing of their people first, who are inclusive and who deliver exceptional service – together.
This role is full time and home based with travel to MAC sites as and when required.
FOCUS OF THE JOB: Identification and management of vendors
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an area relevant to the role
Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated careful attention to detail
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Ability to multitask effectively
Be both a self-motivated team leader and a good team player
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Commercially and contractually aware
Good awareness of the CRO industry
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Vendor management / Outsourcing experience preferred
Strong client facing skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of key vendors acting as the interface between Proposals, Feasibility, Project Management, Operations, QA and Legal.
Identify new vendors for clinical sites or CRO business needs
Identify and monitor vendor concerns, recommend solutions, and follow up during the process, communicates resolution to ensure problems have been resolved
Developing process improvements such as forms or SOPs applicable to Vendor Management
Drafting, reviewing, and updating Vendor templates as needed
Be the point of escalation for vendors and facilitate effective communication among all parties
Work closely with MAC Contracts group to ensure all vendor related contract documentation is approved and processed on-time.
Participate in and present vendor management processes in client bid defence and project meetings.
Participate and independently support vendor management processes in client audits of assigned projects.
Provide training, management and mentoring of junior team members as required.
