TRAINING COORDINATOR

MAC Clinical Research manages clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry and we are seeking to appoint a Training Coordinator to join our team and make a positive impact in a world-leading Contract Research Organisation.
We are happy to be flexible with regards to location in the UK, so any of our clinical site locations may be considered with the option of home working.
This role would suit candidate with background or keen interest in Training/Learning and Development/Education.
The focus of this role is to lead employee development initiatives through the identification, creation and delivery of creative training events and educational programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct periodic organisation-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
Work with department heads and line managers to map out annual training plans
Maintain and develop internal training capability spreadsheet
Assist with the co-ordination of study specific training during study set up
Co-ordinate training requirements for clinical raters
Develop and co-ordinate the process for study specific Rater Experience Questionnaires and rater experience database
Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
Work with internal programmers to design and build a fit-for-purpose bespoke learning management system
Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions
Conduct specific training sessions in line with own expertise
Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
Research and recommend new training methods
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Experience with e-learning platforms
MS Office proficiency
Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong communication skills
