CLINICAL RESEARCH NURSE (EARLY PHASE)

MAC is a full-service global Contract Research Organisation (CRO). We also own a network of research sites and are seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at our MHRA accredited Early Phase Unit in Manchester. This role would suit a candidate with a background or keen interest in nursing and clinical research (early phase preferred).


The focus of this role is to participate in the effective running of research studies on a day-to-day basis maintaining the safety and well-being of study participants and utilising skill knowledge and judgement to provide a high standard of care whilst maintaining dignity and respect at all time.


Shift work will be required including earlies, lates and nightshift (with occasional weekend work).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritise participant safety by ensuring adherence to ICH GCP

  • Carry out clinical trial procedures in accordance with ICH GCP

  • Undertake nursing procedures as per NMC guidelines in ensuring the smooth conduct of trials

  • Have responsibility and accountability for planning, organising and prioritising their daily workload working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc Nursing (RGN or RMN) - essential

  • Have a current NMC registration with effective registration PIN number - essential

  • Experience of working in an acute care setting such as ITU, CCU, HDU or A&E - desirable

  • ILS qualified nurses - desirable

  • Experience within the field of clinical trials (early phase) – desirable

  • Some shift work is required (early, late weekend and night flexibility)
