MAC Clinical Research have a vacancy for a full time/part time medical doctor to work as a Clinical Research Physician at our dedicated research site in Cannock. At MAC we conduct clinical trials in a wide variety of therapeutic areas. It is an ideal role for someone new to the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities of a Clinical Research Physician:

  • Act as a Sub-investigator in conduct and execution of clinical trials in many therapeutic areas such as Psychiatry, Elderly medicine, Diabetes, Dermatology and Women’s Health.

  • Work with the Principal investigator to ensure safety of all participants, reviewing Bloods/ECGs/Study specific data.

  • Apply your clinical knowledge and skills to assess a subject’s eligibility for a trial.

  • Work with the MAC team to ensure Good Clinical Practice is followed throughout the trial.

  • Participate in any internal or external audits and regulatory inspections.

Progression to Principle Investigator will be encouraged as experience is gained.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Candidates must hold full GMC registration with valid license to practice.

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK

  • Ideally 4 years of post graduate clinical experience

  • Minimum requirement - must have completed 2 years of Foundation Training

  • A broad range of medical knowledge with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is required.
